    Bilge Pump

Boat : Triton 186 Magnum Outboard: 150 Optimax

While I know that the bilge pump is to rid water from the bilge, can you use it to rid fumes from the gas tank compartment. Our state (Ohio) requires a ventilation device for the latter. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Lark........the bilge pump wouldn't remove fumes and I doubt very much that Ohio actually requires a ventilation device for a bassboat; that would be for the larger cabin cruisers, etc.

Al is correct, this link describes what is required. As long as you have intake and exhaust horns that are functioning properly you are covered.
