    Kentucky Lake Drop Off

Doug, what do you make of these two snapshots...other than the fish. What about the color differences of the bottom. Both shots are of the same area.
    Thanks

great ledge image!! Love it. Your sensitivity is a tad high. Experiment with the different color pallets. I seem to like Blue and amber 1 the most but thats just me. Hard to be the blue tho!

Re: Kentucky Lake Drop Off (Slim Pickin's)

Looks like a steep dropoff and this is the sonar shadow because of the dark color versus soft bottom. Sensitivity is too high - the Amber 1 and Amber 2 need to be toned down because they are very strong base brightness.

I would probably scan from a different angle to learn more about what you found to get an image from a different perspective.

Important thing is the wad of fish you found.

Thought i would go ahead and through a couple more on from KY.lake.One is of a tree that has washed up on the river channel drop off.I am not sure about the other one, it might be day marker poles knocked down by a barge,as it is right below a day marker.

I don't see the tree but that is clear as day a reef marker.. :). The tree one looks like a small depth drop.

The reason i know it's a tree is because about 2' of it is out of the water...looks like a stump. It might have made a better shot if i had gone across it from a different direction.

This marker is still standing but leaning or it would not cast a sonar shadow like this. If it was laying on the bottom it would not show the complete shadow. Again I would turn the sensitivity down so you can see actual structure versus just the shadow.

I will need the coordinates of that first pic to be able to give an honest opinion.

I like this idea! I will help but I need coordinates...my fishing poles are made a me and need to get tugged on more. Spending too much time looking and not fishing. You can IM them to me if you only want to share with me? Just think you could post the coordinates and we could have a big BBC Rally right on top your school of fish?
