    150 H.P. JOHNSON ( J150GLEDB)compression numbers

    Guys I am looking at buying a 1996 blazer boat with a 1996 150 H.P. JOHNSON ( J150GLEDB)and wanted to know what the compression should be on each cylinder...we will put it in the water but would like to check compression as well..thanks'

    I would look for 100 lbs, but more importantly that they are within 10% of each other.

    That's correct, Mike. I performed a compression test before I purchased mine and it showed 115 psi in all but the lower cylinders, which were around 110 psi.

    You won't be disappointed with the 60 * motor if the comp numbers are right.
