I have a friend looking to remove a rap from a boat. Is this a diy project? If so any pointers? The wrap has been on for around 3 years.

That is what I was afraid of. I just re-read my title..I can not spell. It is suppose to say wrap.![]()
Use a heat gun and warm up large sections at a time and peal away! If the wrap was printed on the correct material, there should be very little clean up. You might have some adhesive left along the edges of the wrap or deep channels, basically any place an adhesive primer would be needed, but other than that, it should be a clean removal.
I have pulled several wraps off of my truck and boats. A steam gun is awesome, way better than a heat gun. It leaves less adhesive on the boat/truck than a heat gun.
