procraft 1750v

hi i recently had a procraft 1750v given to me the hull is solid as is the transom all the lids are in good shape windshield is almost new the downfall rite up front on the floor is bad could this be covered or would removing the top cap and re doing the whole thing makemore sense this is my first boat
