    Need new transom

I'm in need a new transom bought a 93 Skeeter about a month ago and thought the transom might be bad but got such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. Found out today that my thought was reality it is bad hit a stump going about 30mph and once I got back to the ramp found 2 cracks around the motor mount. I have been looking into fixing it with seacrest seems to be affordable and will do the trick let me know if you have any other ideas here is one pic of he crack.

This will give you some idea of the wood process.

I think what you will find after doing some research is that with the Skeeters the best route is to go back with wood. The way the transoms are designed on that hull, it would be almost impossible to get all of the wood out without removing the top cap or at least cutting a significant portion of it off.

    Re: Need new transom (Marooned)

I'm going with seacast got most of the wood out yesterday still working on the rest. Talked to the guys at seacast and explained to them what wood was left and he said it should be fine with the amount of wood I have left. There is no way to get all the boat out I will not disagree with that.
