    finally finished. before and after

Well here are my pics of my 1990 Stratos 285 pro DC. When i got it the carpet it was rotted and tearing to shreads (blue). So I knew I had to change that. The motor ran good but cosmetically it needed to be repainted. After reading about so many others on the board about buffing their boats I decided I could do it too. After about five weeks of labor, which I didnt mind its finally finished. ( 6 inch jackplate to follow).

    Re: (basscatcher10)

I am in the middle of a similar project on my 95 javelin 367.Iwas wondering if the bench seat you installed was the one that Cabelas sells? It looks great. Im not sure if that seat will fit in my boat my seats are 15-16 inches deep(front to back) do you still have enough room between you console to get in and out? And do they make pedestals seats that match? Thanks for any info. you can give.

Those are Cabelas seats. If you look at the front and back deck I have matching seats. They sold them in a adjustible pole ,base and butt seat combo for 80 bucks. I couldnt pass it up. Thanks to whoever posted these pics for me. Ive also bought a jackplate (6 inch) I havent mounted yet. I will do that in the next week or so.

Boat looks great. I wish I had gone with those seats instead of having mine re-done. How much did you $$$ did you end up having in those seats? And which seats are those? What paint did you use for the lower end? thanks

    Re: (wycough)

I paid 419.00 for the seats and 160.00 for the pedestal seat, pole and base combo. Front and back. So I had right at 600.00 just for seats. I bought about 180.00 in carpet and materials (razor blades, contact cement, etc) The paint I had done at a bodyshop. I had them matche it with Johnson`s paint. I forget the number, but any body shop can look it up.
