    Fred/Horse- quick question?

Started up my motor first time just now on muffs. After about 30 seconds, did not see any water coming out the pee hole. Shut her down. After how long should I start to see water out of pee hole? Didn't want to blow the head and started to get nervous.

how old is the water pump? I would hook up the muffs, turn water on and let it run for 3-4 mins and then crank the engine over. Make sure the water intakes are clear and maybe run a piece of weedeater line up to pee hole to make sure there are no dirt clogs or bugs in the outlet.

Water pump is 2 years old. When I had the muffs on, there was quite a bit of water coming out right where the muffs meet the water intake. Not sure if this is normal or not.

Thats normal Steve, try what was said above and leave the water on for a minute before cranking. That crankcase holds a lot of water, make sure the pee hole is clear....

Takes a minute to fill and get up to temp. Run the water a min or two before starting. Make sure H20 is shooting out from around the LU and start it up. It should start to discharge out the tell tale in a minute. Once the t'stats get to temp and dump.

make sure the tell tale hole is clear, ants/wasps/spiders and things like to build nests in there, also feel the head and see if it is indeed hot.
