Was a little late getting to the ramp at 7:00 AM, but there were still not very many fishermen ahead of me. Water surface temp was 73 degrees and the wind was 8 to 12 mph mostly from the west. Started and stayed with a pattern of fishing the pockets on the south side of the cool end fishing water 2 to 6 feet deep. Started and stayed with the 3" Storm Wildeyed Shad swimbait and a shad colored Fluke. Fishing was good and steady with a final count of 13 by noon. Almost all were clones of each other, 14 to 15 inches. Did catch two dinks, but no trash fish this trip. The last three fish came off the east side of the island in south cove.

By noon the recreational boaters started to load in and that limits where you are able to fish. It becomes very difficult to fish the main lake points, rip rap at the dam or the road beds.

No big fish, but a good day on the water.
