    VRO pump ???

Thanks to Championman for the response to my post regarding some idle issues I had. He suggested there may be a VRO problem. My question is this: What exactly is a VRO pump and what does it do? I have been reading these posts for several months and have read several times that people get rid of them or something. Is that accurate?

    Re: VRO pump ??? (rutleep)

VRO= Varible Ratio Oiling Meaning exactly that. It oils according to crankcase pulses. less oil at idle, more up thru the rpm range. Many people get rid of them due to uneducated, mechanics that want to blame any failure to the VRO. It's the most reliable,IMO, of all the major brands.
