    Pleasant Lake Northwood/Dixfield

On the water at 7:30. Mike C already there. Overcast 48 and about 10-15 mph winds from the northwest. Water temp a steady 51.9 Water crystal clear. As wind began to laydown, Temps began to warm and You could see young bucks on beds. Like taking candy from a baby. I watched one pick up my jig 4 or 5 times to remove it from the bed. Watermelon with super chunk trailer. All in all a fun morning spent in peace and quiet. Untill some jack azz came along doing circles around the bass fisherman blasting HEAVY METAL. Real clown! 6 smallies, all between 2 and 3. Off the water at 11:30. Back to the Honey do list!

    Kevin,

Missed you up there. Got there about 9:45. Did see and talked to Mike C for a minute. The rock star wasn't the only jack azz out there, just ask Mike. Of course then we had a PWC running around later in the afternoon. My buddy and I managed about a dozen, biggest 3.2. BassCat Frank and Bob Goss were there also.

Fished there a couple of times last year without much success. Without giving away too many secrets, do you guys concentrate on that rocky area on the left half way out? We also tried the right shoreline beyond that which also had a shallow point with limiyed success. Never did get a LM although I hear there are a few.

Re: Pleasant Lake Northwood/Dixfield (Mike C)

After I saw Al he told me Mike and Kevin were there. We never ended up crossing paths though. Sorry Mike and Kevin, would have been nice to say hello. As far as the fishing goes, we had a great day. Almost every smallie was a 3 pound clone. It looked like were catching the same fish over and over. We weighed one and it was just over three and we probably had a dozen like that. We saw some big largies, too. They didn't seem to be very interested in us. We found a tree in the water that had some really big ones just cruising in through it. All in all, not a bad day for my first time there.

Geez, i did not realize you guys were so tight lipped about lake info. Kinda made me feel like an outsider from Mass. Oh wait, that's where some of you are from.
