Mike I can only imagine how bored you must be getting. Once you start feeling better the boredom will no doubt get to be a problem. So I thought if I could get you to answer a few questions or even ask us about our favorite fishing holes. the day just might move a little faster for you.
Mike would you mind telling us about the best day on the water? What lure was working that day? how long a day was it? Who were you fishing with? Was it during a T?
This is my "trip of the season"
I was fishing the Merrimac this past summer with Phil during an open T for the NH Hooksetters. We were the next to last boat to launch. We went all the way up to the rocks and started tossing topwaters. We may have tried this tactic too long because we had nothing really to brag about in the livewell. We saw a lot of boats come and go but never saw any action. We then made our final pass and Phil caught a nice keeper largemouth. I'm trying to remember if it was a weighted worm or a tube. (Phil will remember). Anyway, We slow drifted for about 150 yards and took us over 2 hours but we were now only one shy of a limit. We discussed where we should go for the final hour and we took a shot in the dark that the last spot would get us a toad. We got there with about 40 minutes to spare. Not long after, We landed a 4.5 largie. The winds picked up big time and we did spooked a few but didn't get them to the boat.
Phil and I won that T in the last 15 minutes of the T. We had over 18 pounds and won by less than a pound.
So Mike, Occupy you time with a story for us. It doesn't have to be a long drawn out story. Tell us anything. Just do me a favor and don't get bored on us.
