I went to Lake Massaseecum this past Sunday before the Patriots. My gut feeling was to stay home but the weather projection was just too strong a draw. I started calling people mid-week. Most responded....Let ME get back to YOU. Phil was the ONLY one to tell me right off he wanted to but scheduling wouldn't allow it. BTW....thank you Phil. SOOOoooo I called these 4 people back(they never called me) and they all had plans. I called another guy and his wife answered. I asked to speak with him and his wife said he can try. I asked him to go and he was ready and willing when he starts telling me about his fall the day before and his broken arm and the surgery to repair arm on Monday. Wife tells me that he is on strong meds. NEXT!!! Called a college kid from Dartmouth and I asked him and away we go. We are meeting at my house at 7:00am. I call and wake his hungover ash at 7:30. He gets here at 9:00 My pet peeve is being late. 5-10 minutes is fine but.... Any way I'm circling around like a predator over prey waiting for this kid to finally show. I grab my carhart jumpsuit and go. Get to the lake at 9:30 and as I take the boat off the trailer I realize that my electronics are sitting where my carharts wereI did get in some fishing and I did calm down quite a bit. Amazing what a little time on the water can do for you. Got back just in time for kick off.
It can't happen 2 weeks in a row.....Right??? Any one else heading out this weekend?
