    Greer's Ferry Info

I am going to see some new water this week and I was looking for any info concerning the best areas for some Hybrid action. I have fished GF a few times several years ago and I caught some good bass but I have never went after the hybrids...any info would be appreciated. I will be staying at the Shiloh Campground and I have a detailed map so you can give me creek names and I should able to find them.

Thanks in advance for any info and I will be happy to return the favor on Table Rock as I have been catching the bass pretty good down there for several weeks now.

    Take care

Let me talk to a few buddies and see what I can come up with. I fish Greers alot, but never anything but bass. I bet I can come up with something. Shiloh is a pretty cool place, out of the way and centrally located. I camp at Shiloh quite a bit.

A few areas I've always done well at: The Narrows, Hill Creek, Five Fingers, Devil's Fork. Since you staying at Shiloh, I'd run up the Narrows & check for schooling acivity. The hybrids are schooling pretty good right now, but finding the bigger fish is the problem. They should be showing up shortly. Tie on a topwater or, my favorite, a 1/2 oz Rat-L-Trap, & go to work.

They love to school up at sandy beach in the cove right beside marina . Bigger ones havent started schooling up yet. Also around the island at narows

    Appreciate all the info guys!

I really need to get away so I am going to fish Wed-Sat and just spend some time away from work for a while I will probably fish around 15 hours per day so hopefully I can find something working. I figure there will be some bass to be caught in the bushes but really wanted to mess with the hybrids a little bit. Again thanks for the info.

Like I said I have only fished GF a couple times and one thing I was curious about was it seems nobody fishes the South end much...Is there a reason? The last time I was there I fished on a Saturday in Feb and I was the only boat at Shiloh and I never saw another boat all day while fishing Budd, Rocky and Drip Creeks on the South end. I caught fish all day and had a great time all by myself.

Do the hybrids school up in places on the South end as well?
