    Clear Fork Resv.

Anybody wet a line at Clear Fork lately? Nice lake, got a club tourny next week there. Can't afford the xtra gas $$$ for pre-fishing.

    Re: Clear Fork Resv. (Shobey)

Went out there today . Most of the day was spent with the family on shore doing the holiday stuff . Did finally get out around noon til 3:30 . The weeds are growing very well this year . I landed 5 keepers and a few short fish in this time frame . It was almost to easy , every fish I caught , I saw first . I just eased down the bank very slow and when I saw one , I would pitch a 6" Zoom ss-U-tail in June bug just past them and drag it on top of the weeds , when it got to the pocket where the fish was laying , I would just let it drop and watch the fish take it . Every fish I caught was within 10' of the shoreline . Also , I was only useing a 1/16oz bullet weight . The 5 keepers that I caught probably had a total weight of around 9 - 9.5 pounds . I had 2 nice fish with a few 1.25 - 1.5# fish Good luck at your tourny .

Sounded like a fun couple of hours Phil. Who said you have to be there at day break to catch them .

Phil, Thanks for the update! I was wondering how much the grass was up. Sounds like you had fun! Hope they will cooperate with me. Do you think all the fish are off beds there? I fished there last year about this time and there were still a few on beds. Did you fish the pockets or points or main lake? I pray that I will have a good tourny, haven't been doing to great on game day yet. I really like this lake so I'm hoping to turn it around.
