Abu Garcia Revo Premier Reel Thumbar Problem

Back in the early summer, the thumbar on my Revo Premier reel broke. I sent it bassman13reelservice to be fixed. He said it was a weak 10 cent spring that he will have to get from Abu Garcia and it is on backorder. It is now 2012, I still have a $200 reel and $100 rod sitting aroung waiting on a 10cent spring. I sent Tommy at bassman13reelservice a couple of emails and he said he never got the spring. He has now quit answering my emails.

Any ideas on what I should do? I don't want to just throw the reel away because of a 10 cent spring.

Have you contacted Pure Fishing yourself about the part or the backorder issue? I've always found them pretty helpful.
