    Revo STX/Premier

I tried this in thenLounge, but haven't had any looks yet. I just opened a Revo STX (that I bought myself and my wife wrapped) and I discover a Premier side plate. Everything else looks like the STX. Has anyone ever seen this before? I sent in an email to Abu asking if they had seen it before and if the internals were STX or Premier.

I was told to post a pic in the Lounge, so I thought I would do the same here.

LOL! That's quite a screwup if the put the Premier sideplate on an STX. Best way to figure it out is weigh it and compare it to the specs. AFAIK, the STX and Premier are the same basic reels, just that the Premier has the lighter frame and sideplates.

I ended up weighing it and it weighs 8.25 ounces. A little lighter than a STX but 2 ounces heavier than a Premier.

The STX has 11 bearings and the Premier has 10. If the sideplate for the Premier is lighter, then that would make up for the weight difference.

I am wondering if I should just keep it or take it back and switch it out.

I'd keep it. All you'd gain by sending it back would be more weight. But I'd understand wanting a correct product for resale purposes. Kind of cool in my opinion to have this type of "misprint". Similar to a double struck coin, minus a few thousand dollars lol.
