Rings: $1.10 each (1/2" rings)
You might be better off getting a pre-made grip price-wise, unless you want a custom contour.
Check out Mudhole.com, Jann's Netcraft, etc.
ok thanks for the info i was wanting to do the rear grip on like 7 rods, ill check them out thanks!![]()
DTS,
Mudhole has some decent cork on overstock.....I usually order 50 at a time...about 2/3 is what i consider useable for a cutomer....which is pretty good actually. http://www.mudhole.com/Shop-Ou...25-ID
The good thing is you can use the pitted stuff to practice with. All you really need to shape a grip is a file and some sandpaper...I used to do all of my grips that way untill I bought a lathe.
ok ill check it out i was lookin at the premade rear grips that i would assume just slide on the rod are these good cork or crappy?? thanks again!
you have to ream them to fit your blank the one I have is pretty nice
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
Bass'n is right about the overstock rings from Mudhole more or less. I usually order a 100 or more at a pop. Two times, 80 percent were better than expected and another time it was about 50/50.
It's cool with me as I can always find a use for it.
I have extra select cork sticks pre glued 30" lenght 1" 1/4OD 1/4" ID enough for 2 handles or 3 split grips.
cost 28.00+ shipping. Also have burl sticks the same size. 37.00
