    Help picking guides

I have three 7 1/2 foot rods (2 casting, 1 spinning) that I mainly use for saltwater (reds and specks). Actually, I use one of them also for lunker lures. Anyway, the blanks are perfect for what I use them for, but the guides are a pain! The blanks are Loomis and I don't know what the guides are. They have the ceramic(?) inserts that occasionally come out and even some of the feet have failed. I've had to replace several over the years. I'm pretty sure that I want to get away from guides with inserts. Additionally, I want the guides to hold up to braid. My flipping stick has the recoil guides and they seem like that might be a good idea. Soooooooooooooo, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for replacements.

Recoil guides are the way to go if you don't want inserts. A little noisy for my taste with braid. You could put just a tip top say an alconite top to cut down on the noise.

I would suggest looking into a higher quality ceramic like American tackle's Titan "ring lock" series with the Nanolite inserts. They are designed to eliminate ring pop outs. The Titan series is titanium so they are very light and very durable. They will also stand up to the harsh saltwater enviroment. Match it with a Fuji Titanium SIC tip top....
