    Building spinnerbait question

Hey guys, I have a bunch of spinnerbaits that I want take to Canada. Pike and Musky are really tough on spinnerbaits and I loose alot of blades, they just come flying off when those creatures shake their heads and go crazy. I am wanting to redo the arms so that the swivel splitring can't shake loose of the spinnerbait arm. What is the trick to bending the spinnerbait arm at the end to make it wrap around the arm to ensure that the blade and swivel will stay put? Does any of that even make sense? I am also wanting to know this so that I can start buying spinnerbait components and customize my spinnerbaits.

    Thanks,

    Re: Building spinnerbait question (Fisher)

I do this all the time when I make spinnerbaits. I hate to see a dollar swivel and a 50 cent blade go into the drink.

I have a headless nail driven into a board. I bend the wire around the nail leaving about 1/8-3/16" tag. Then I bend the tag around the wire shaft. I haven't lost any components since.
