    ? about Rod drying/finishing set-up

Looking at adapting a motorized arrow cutting bench tool set-up for Rod Finishing..
what do i need to look for in motor rpm's, length of hold/support, etc.
Could i make such an animal work for rod building? Thanks, B-o-B

It varies I personally like 6 rpm's some builders like more . I've seen them all the way to 18 rpm's. You want to make go around enough so the finish don't sag to one side of the wrap. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ron-- I'll see what r's this thing will do. I think it's a variable speed with a footpedal, should work fine then.

I use 8-9 rpm for wrapping and 6rpm for drying

Find a speed you're comfortable with. I actually use 40rpm to apply finish and dry.
