Is there anyone out there that thinks they should be illegal besides me? If they work as well as they say give a dozen meateaters those things and see what happens to your favorite honey hole.

I see it no different than a multiple fluke rig. basically same concept.
My boat is old, My rods aren't pretty. Those things let me fish when I want to.

Look..you are thinking way too deep into this, IMO...The creel limits are what they are..regardless of what you are fishing...and the rig is not magic--it has as much to do with where as what...and how many meateaters would spend $35-$45 per lure (rig+jig heads+swimbaits).
Besides, where the latest variation of this rig was made (Pickwick Lake), I guarantee you, the live shad guys that cut the heads off 5 lb. brownies will outfish the A-Rig guys all day long...but those guys are another topic altogether.
yeah you guys are probably right plus this will probably pass in a few months too once everyone buys one.
many states have 1 lure per rod rules......this is 5 lures per rod.....I am surprised that people think it should be ok.
Question everything!
I make my own Ala. rigs and in my state,Indiana your are allowed two hooks per line. Those hooks can be two trebles(crankbait) or two singles (dropshot)style. What I do is use two single hooks on two of the baits and the other two baits are attached to wires with hitchhikers< no hooks.
Flukes, grubs, swim flukes and swim Senkos all look great on these things but I only use four wires instead of the normal five. When I first tried one I thought it would be a twisting nightmare but found it was tangle free and suprisingly weedless.
I really don't see any difference between catching 5 fish at a time on an A rig, versus someone going out and catching 40 -50 fish out of a school on a crankbait. The limit is still the same. JMO
