Is it possible to get line twist on a casting reel? maybe from how it was spooled up? Been pitching with 15lb trilene 100% and it doesnt like to cooperate peeling off the spool every so often

You should not have a problem from spooling up, as long as you let the "roll" as you spooled up the reel. I do get some line twist while fishing with casting reels with certain baits. I get it from casting spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and cranks. I would guess if you are getting twist while pitching it is from your bait spiralling as you reel it in for the next pitch.

looks like just a bad case of line memory, peeled about 20 yds of line off and its much better. This particular reel pitches better when spooled low anyway rather than filled 1/8 inch from top
