Line slipping through eye of hook

Worm fishing with 50# power pro. My problem is my line is slipping through the eye of the hook. Anyone have this problem? What do you do to prevent it from happening?

You can try a couple of things or all. First, I've heard a double palomar is the way to go with braid. I'm sure everyone has their own way of doing things, but I've never had this knot fail. If you dont like that knot, try the berkley (trilene) knot with an additional loop at the end.

You can also put some superglue, kraze glue or pro's soft bait glue on the knot. That will definately help.

Finally, I just want to make sure, you are talking about the knot slipping and not the line coming off the edge of the eye, right? If you are talking about the knot slippong off the edge of the eye, then get yourself a different brand of hook.

There's a hook that's made with a "closed eye" (if that makes sense) where there's no "gap" at the eye, but I dont remember who the manufacturer is. I want to say it's Hookerz, but not positive.

    Hope this helps

My knot is holding. The is not breaking. The line is slipping out of the eye, on hook set. Maybe I need to switch hooks. I am using Bass Pro worm hooks.

You just answered your own question, get yourself over to HookerZ and get some decent hooks. BPS hooks are about as bad as you can get, just my opinion.

Get the gel or the brush, either works better than the regular. My knot choice for my limited use of braid is the Berkley Braid knot.
