had a 200 series [chrome black back] break in half on the 5th or 6th cast brand new out of the box. broke right behind the front treble all that was left the head. whats really bad out of those 5 or 6 cast 2 bass. just a bad cb or have they gotten cheaper.

they went to crap when started making them in China(or wherever)!!!had/have several of the old ones and they still work great
As Herb said, when they went to China there were a lot of breakage problems. I lost track of how many I broke, but I kept using them because they caught more fish than any other lure I've tried (that means all of them). After a while I noticed the quality has turned around again and I haven't broken any in a while.
It would be my guess that you had a lure from the first batch from China. Too bad we can't tell what lot numbers they were. In my case I buy them locally from Academy and a local fishing store and all their stock has been replenished several times so I don't have to worry about the "Bad" Bandits anymore.
i had picked it up at our farmstore who knows how long its been on the shelf. i did shoot bandit a email curious to see if and what kind of a repy i get

If you can get the old ones that were made here, with the Triple Grip Mustads they are awesome. I have a box full of them. The new ones that are being sold now are crap, and are not worth price of the package. China

I did get a reply from Bandit said they would replace it for free just need to send the carcass to them

Good service there!
I did have a couple of them have problems when they went to China, but have to say that now, I like them better...used to be I had to tune every bandit I bought.....now, they run true right out of the package most times...also, was not a big fan of the triple grips...lost more fish on those hooks than I care to count....used to change every one of them....the new hooks are much better as far as I am concerned....
