1998 Johnson 150 ficht oil injector

Hi, I have a 1998 Johnson 150 ficht motor, no laughing please:) with a new powerhead installed I am getting ready to break it in, and checked everything to make sure it is ok before doing so, when I tried to staic test the oil injector from the laptop i hear the audible clicking noise coming from the injector but there is no oil coming from the injector to the clear oil hoses in the manifold, I bleed the air via instructions in the manual, and still no oil coming from the hoses, my question is should there be oil coming from these even if the motor hasnt been started yet?? Just dont want to rebuild this thing again any suggestions??? Thanks!

When you are activating the oil injector with a laptop, it is only getting around 12volts and it needs 24 volts to run correctly.

Prime the oil system per the manual, then pinch off the oil return line before the regulator and then start the motor. You can then watch the oil rapidly travel up the external oil hoses. Most of the time, the motor is well primed after 30 seconds.
