2000 Johnson 150 hp.

My outboard runs good until I open it up to a higher speed and then it sometimes starts to miss like it may have bad fuel or water in it. It starts up and idles with no problem but misses sometimes at higher speeds. I'm putting marine grade stabil today with fresh gas and trying that first. Any ideas before I take it to the motor repair man? Thanks

I'd lean towards a power pack.

Thanks for the info. I am trying the fuel issue first but I think you are probably right.
