i have a 99 model ficht 225, i have been told that i need a cranking battery with at least 1000 cca. is that true or is it over kill? was told it needed that many for the computer to work properly. i dont have the serial number with me right now, but if i need it i can get it tommorow.

The computer needs at least 10v for the engine to crank. The biggest you can put in the FFI, DI,and ETEC is the way to go.
