texas oilmans information?

I was hoping you guys come help me out a little.

Seems that our trip planner decided to plan our trip out to toledo the same week as the texas oilmans.

So, few questions.

I seen that the tourny was out of Cypress Bend Park. Is this the one located in Many, LA?

how is the boat traffic around the area? Are they required to launch from same location? and I assume the weigh in is there also. Where can I find information on weigh times and such..

Looks like my great trip planner also got us staying at Shady Oaks which guess what? is also in many, la.

does it really get crowed in this area or it will be just another weekend on the bend?

I fish the Oilmans. It's on Friday and Saturday. Weigh times are from 3 to 4. There will be 700 teams fishing the tourney, so yes there will be a lot of boat traffic. Not everyone lauches at Cypress Bend.

Come to the weight in. It's pretty cool. Everyone drinking beer and having a good time.

That lake is so big you will not have a hard time getting away from the crowds and the ramp there at the gold course is huge. You will love the Bend! Its my favorite lake.

I have been fishing that tourney since the first one. I am pretty sure you really want to stay away from the Cypress Bend Park ramp. All the community holes will be full of boats. Pray for light winds and that will scatter out the boats a little. There will be almost as many boats prefishing on Wednesday and Thursday as during the Friday / Saturday tournament.
