Sorry I am at work don't have serial number, Yesterday at the first Club tx of the year slide boat off it would not go in gear either forward or reverse. Last weekend ran fine no issues. It does not even attempt to go in gear no noise at all. It was 21 decrees out so I thought maybe it was frozen it warmed up in the 60's still nothing.
I have not had a chance to look at yet where would be a good place to start.
Sounds like a broke cable to me...
disconnect the shifter cable at the motor,try shifting it by hand if it goes in and out of gear,you know its in the cable or shifter. Motor doesn't need to be running to do this. If it feels like it wants to engage but isn't spin the prop by hand and see if it goes in gear that way....

well i looked at it today the plastic arm broke seems easy enough to replace .
plastic arm? do you mean the neutral safety switch? or the plastic end on the cable?

looking up part number now it is not he cable it is on top of the cable running back to the switch
it is the throttle shift arm
