Anyone been to Lake Whitney?

I was thinking about going there this wekend. I've never been, and was wondering if anyone had any info they could share. It looks like it's in the hill country. If so, I would guess it's kinda like Medina or Belton. I could be wrong though. Can someone toss me a bone?

Trust me it is kinda tough right now, fished a club tourney this past weekend and it took 15lbs to win which is not much for this time of year.

Thanks for the info guys. I can't wait for the fishing to get better. I don't want my first day there to be the day of the tournament. I guess I better spool up some more fluorocarbon.
