Water temp 82-86
Outside temp mid 70s early near 100 pm.

Early Top waters (Devil Stick & Buzz baits) fished around brush produced several 1-4lb fish.

Mid morning switched to T-rigged Tequilla/green and or Purple worms fished 10-20ft and picked up several nice fish (one 7lb).

Midday 72 degrees, ice water, nap time for dad.

Evenings we stayed with T-rigged worms and worked our way back up to 5-10 feet and picked up most of our big fish as the sun was setting (several 4s, one 5, two over 6 and one 7lb).

Absoulutely the best father son fishing trip possible. My 13 yr old and I caught and released over to 150 fish in 5 days with our best day at 51. We caught fish everytime we stopped the boat. Man what a lake!

Sounds like you had a great time and you and your son will remember that trip for a life time.

I sure hope so. We had sent the wife and 2 olders sons off on a school trip. It was a great opportunity to get father son time. I still remember getting to go to toledo bend with my grandad almost 40 years ago(ouch that hurt).

I love that lake, wish i could go down there more often.
