    Kentucky Lake

Hey guys. Trying to put together a trip in late Sept/Early Oct to Kentucky lake. I guess the Paris landing area seems to be the best known place, so that's probably where we'll go. Having never been there, can any of you get me started? Also, what is the motel situation around there? Just ordered some maps today. Thanks!

Fish Tales Lodge is only about 5 mins from the ramp.

If you're willing to drive about 20 mins in everyday, I'd stay in Paris. Hampton, Super 8, Swiss Villa Inn, or the old Econo lodge. You can find a room for $40 bucks if you drive into town. More places to eat too. Fish Tales is nice but kinda by itself. If you bring your own food it's prob the way to go. They do have one nice restaurant.

Maybe I need to expand on this. I once took the wife to Jack Wingates on Lake Seminole. I had been there in the spring without her and apparantly before the bugs woke up. Well when she came back with me in the fall we walked into the place we had rented and there was a can of Raid on top of the refrigerator. That should have given me all the warning I needed that this was not going to go well. Soooo, If there's bugs please suggest somewhere else. I don't want to live with a week of ear ache. The place doesn't have to be the Ritz, but clean. Those with experience on the lake, without giving up your holes (you can and I'd appreciate them ), could you steer me into something to get us started at that time of year. Thanks!

I have a voucher for one night at Paris Inn and Suites and a voucher for 2 sirloin steak dinners at the 4-way grill I will let you have cheap if you want them. I won them at a local tourney. I live about 10 minutes from that hotel, so I really don't need the voucher. And I raise my own beef so I really don't go out to eat steak. Total value of these vouchers is about 75 bucks. IM me if you're interested.
