    running rough

I have a 1997 200hp Johnson Venom J200STLEUB, here is the deal, It idles rough when i give it gas it dies, i can choke it and keep it running but will not get above 3200rpm's, comp- 120 all around changed the stator, timer base, and power pack, i pre mix my oil (disconnected oil side of VRO), primer bulb stays hard does not seem to have air leak, If it is my fuel pump can I change to a conventional put since i pre mix?

Check that butterflys are opening all the way and the clear plastic isn't gone frm throttle roller just for the simple things. The gurus can give more info.

Shift interupt switch, when push it down it does not do anything, when i pull the plug wires on one side it really don't do anything, but the motor is running rough so when it dies i don't know if it is the switch or not, but i do know if i push it down itdoes not do anything i put it on a ohm meter and i can see it open and close, is it bad

if the ohms change value when you depress the plunger on the switch it is good. Check your orange leads to the coils from the power pack orange/blue to the top two coils, orange to the middle coils, orange/green to the bottom two coils.

I just checked and on the left side it is orange/blue(top), orage(middle), orange/green(bottom)

    the right side orange(top), orange/blue(middle), orange/green(bottom)
