Old Johnson 175 ficht standard problems

I've got a 1998 Johnson Ficht 175,.....and have got standard troubles: low idle – no idle – rough run – bad starting. I have replaced all sparks, filters, compression is god, fuel pressure – 30 psi. There are no errors stored on ECU (flashing bulb diagnostic mode).
I found in this forum, that not only me got problems like above with old Ficht outboards.

Is there any reason for diagnostic software buying? A lot of peoples on this forum had checked everything with diagnostic software, but problems still appears. My only local dealer is not familiar with diagnostic things and does not offers diagnostic software for sale.
Diagnostic cable is not a problem, but where can I buy software? How much it costs? Can I download it somewhere for 1 time trying?

Please list your model and serial#. The things that you can do to eleviate the problem are: a good de-carb and then change the plugs, clean and tighten all grounds on the motor, make sure you do not have the wing nuts on the battery, make sure you have a strong battery. A bad or low flowing injector can cause the idle problem. As for the software It is difficult to work on the FICHT motors without it. I think it is a must.
