    Checking / Filling Trim fluid

    E150FPLSDR

    06' 150 DI

    Guys,

Just wondering how to correctly check the level of my fluid, and how to fill it up if need be.

I unscrewed the big black cap, and fluid started to fly out. I dont know if that means i have enough, or what.

My trim makes a scratchy, grindy noise sometimes when trimming down, its worse when in the water.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Tried the manual release way as well as the 2x4 way.

No success, still an odd noise coming from the trim when going down!

IF i hold the trim button down constantly, you cant hear it, but if u press it several times, u can hear it quite cleary, getting worse as the motor gets lower. However, on the water, it doesnt matter if u tap the trim, or hold it, the noise is bad.

I had a problem with my trim where it vibrated when going down that was caused by the trim motor. It turn out to be fluid in the motor causing it to turn to slow! after replacing the motor it has been doing fine. You may want to pull the motor and take a look.

That 06 should still be under warranty, take it to your dealer.
