Saginaw Bay Area

I moved to Michigan last May. Got some great fishing on the saginaw bay and river in! Could not believe the smallmouth on the bay, and the fact that i did not see many bass fisherman. Looking for recommendations on clubs or tournaments in the area. I fished few tournaments out of Linwood. But would like to find a trail or someone to team up with. Not use to storing the boat for winter, but learning this ice fishing has been awesome. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, i know these smallmouth love a tennessee homemade flatside crankbait

I fish the "Top Bass" tournament trail, its a singles trail, no nonboaters, and thier first T is out of Lindys on the bay. I just got the schedule the other day, let me know if you need anything

If your still looking for a club the Sanford Lake Bass Club is a great club, our club tx fish the Tittabawassee chain, Sanford, Wixom and so one. I am not sure if you have fished since you moved up here but decent lakes. I live in bay City and also moved up here from South (ky). if you want more info let me know.

We are having our 3rd annual Saginaw Bay Open out of AuGres on Sunday June 13, 2010. This is an open team event 6 fish limit. $1,000 guranteed for first $500 guranteed for big bass. There is also a largemouth big bass bounty for the largie guys. Entry is $150 per team all big bass pots are inculded. See saginawbaybass dot com for flier and rules.
