Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that the Fighting Illini Bass Club of the University of Illinois will be hosting its 2nd Annual Fundraising Tournament on Lake Shelbyville.
We have scheduled the tournament for Sunday, May 15th, 2011. We will be launching out of the Dam West (9th Street) Launch. The tournament is structured as a buddy tournament with the 5 best fish being weighed-in per boat.
I know a lot of you guys participate in the ITT and we specifically scheduled this tournament for you guys so that it fell before one of your tournaments and not on one of them. It should be a good opportunity for you guys to get ready for the May 22nd ITT tournament while having some fun with us and fishing for some money.
The entry fee will be $50 per boat, and $5 for the Big Bass Pot (100% payout). Overall payout depends on the size of the field but we're working on getting some great prizes and hope to be able to payout to the Top 5.
This tournament and the funds raised from it are extremely important for our club as we see less and less school support for our club every year. The funds raised help us with repairs on our boats and with tournament traveling expenses which allows us keep our club members out on the water and participating in tournaments.
To sign up, please visit our website (www.fightingillinibassclub.com) and fill out our online registration or contact our Secretary, Justin Kaszuba, at (847) 910-1650. You can also respond here or send me an IM if you need to.
Thanks guys! Hope to see all of you out there!
