Nowhere in that letter did it say I'm doing this in the best interest for Legend Bass Boats and our customers and Im extremely excited to be working with JM to bring you new Tritons...

I think it was told that Johnny new that the Wood family was getting thier stuff in order to either buy Legend or build a plant , I think that may have pushed him to buy them , get them off the market as far a builder for sale, he got the legend line to do as he pleases , and he got the plant to expand the high end trition boats ,

I predict in 10 years Vexus will overtake Ranger in terms of preferred and perceived boat quality & boats of choice. Lots of pros will make the jump.

The wood family has the experience, knowledge, innovation, and financial backing to make it happen.

Agree, but less than 10 years.

...lots have tried...some folks seem to be very sold on these Vexus boats...I see them being a competitor in the market just like all the rest...

We shall see, time will tell. :popcorn:

I'm waiting on the fiberglass models to be released this fall....

My next boat just might be a Vexus, who knows...

Kind of agree, with the exception being that bass boat guys are so loyal to brands, and Vexus is definitely going to tempt the probable Ranger buyer...and if they succeed thats a LOT of buyers. I'm very curious to see what they come out with in the fiberglass market.

I have a friend that lives next door to Stetson Blaylock. Friend told me that Stetson told him that JM was planning to fish out of a Legend this past winter and spring, then make his decision to continue the brand or not. In time we will find out the decision.

At my age my '09 should finish me.

I doubt that, Ranger fan boys will always be Ranger fan boys. Too bad the wood family wasn't able to use all that experience, knowledge, innovation and financial backing to keep the company they started in the first place.
