I just bought some amsoil small engine oil last night for $11.30/qt. Yikes!! I'm sure its the same as regular oil, maybe not. If anyone knows , explain it. I just figured 100 hrs of hard running its worth it.
Just run regular oil at weight your manual calls for .
I was the engineer for building small engines for 30 years, around 80 million of them. I usually run 10/40. Every engine was test run after being built with 30w in the crankcase and av gas for fuel.
My manual calls for 10/30 for the outdoor temp range i mow in.
