Probably another topic but 2x this week someone has quoted a "certified Yamaha mechanic/rep".. one said he souped his 2000 Yammy up and turns 6,100rpms (was told by 2 Yammy reps was okay to 6,300) and now the 1 per 15 gallons... since 5,500 and 1/10 are in print many places on manuals, products... it makes you wonder the value of manuals and such when people seem to overrule them so often these days... Is it just the "fudge factor" of modern companies that makes for all this (high %) wiggle room or what?
