Yep, my brother has one and he likes it.It's just a me thing using the beam. Not very often but sometimes you will get a tuff day when all you catch is one or to cull fish and some will be so close in weight that i would rather use the beam.I have seen the scale be dead even on 2 fish and the beam always gets it right.

I think i ran into one situation this year when i had 2 fish that were exactly the same and out them on the beam to make sure and they were leveled out. So i took the one that looked the healthiest. For some reason i used to always second guess the scale but time and time again i prove to myself that it is damn accurate becuase its always really really really close to the official scales. I am starting to get very accustomed to using it
Even if your scale isn't calibrated correct it should still be the same off for every fish
I use a boga. I think you can even get them certified.
The daily limit in La. is 10...I never have more than that but try in a T to have 5-7 at all times.
Clubs have too many silly rules IMHO...a minimum length and having 5 or less in a boat in La. are two.
When I hold OPENS (like this Sat) there is no minimum length and we don't even need running lights in the fall-winter because 1st cast is about 30 minutes after 1st light...way too much baloney when fishing for under $250.
I do strongly encourage release of all bass over 15 inches...opinions vary.

This is true.
I don't think its a silly rule at all and if you support fish care and catch and release while in a tournament you shouldnt either. Just bc you may make the extra effort to keep fish alive doesn't mean everyone else does too. When you've got 2 guys in a boat keeping 10 fish a piece, weighing their best 5 each and then planning on taking the others home to eat (which is against the rules), in the dead middle of summer and then half of their fish they weighed in are dead bc they have halfazz working livewells....you might reconsider how "silly" and "foolish" that rule is. True dat. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
I use a Rapala 50 lb scale and it is great. To ensure calibration I keep three weights in my garage. I have a 2, 5, and 10 pound weight that I hook on the scale to ensure accuracy. After two years of use the scale is still dead on, although I always feel it is off because the fish never weight what I want them to weigh.
