Where do I pick one up from? Which sponsor has them and which brand should I go with?
What about the gauge location? Any ideas?
Re: Jackplate gauge (Mac)
I have the Pro-trim controls on mine and love them.
You can get a single...or...double. I use my double for tilt/trim and the jackplate.

Re: Jackplate gauge (phil*va)
That's the one. Not sure of where to put the gauge, not sure of the lay out on yours. I don't know if a sponser has these or not, but I'm sure just about any dealer on here can get them. Maybe try Sherm or Don on the Merc board they give a BBC discount.
Re: Jackplate gauge (2100greenmonster)
I'll give them a ring when I get back. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

I put my GPS on the dash.
Then I (the dealer) added a cover to the cubby holw opening at yout feet and added the trim and jackplate gauge there. works really nice.

Re: Jackplate gauge (phil*va)
Phil, thats a great idea.....wonder if you could put the smart graft gage there too?
Re: Jackplate gauge (Gamblerpilot)
Phil his boat's set up is totally different. I looked at my buddies 209 today and the only place I could think of would be just above the steering column just under the gambler logo of just right and down of where the rail comes down on the right side there is a small piece of blank fiberglass. Didn't see a whole lot of options, good luck.
Re: Jackplate gauge (2100greenmonster)
I too believe that I have very limited area to mount it. I also thought of fastening it to the top of the steering column. Might make it look like a 71 Chevy Nova though. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

With Cowtrimmers kind help with the plate! Yes, you too can go 80 plus down the lake without looking at your feet to see where the heck you're going.

Re: Jackplate gauge (G-Boat)
Is there enough wire on the gages to move them there without splicing?
Re: Jackplate gauge (Gamblerpilot)
There should be. If not let me know. I have a 25'(?) ext. cable that came with my replacement gage.

Re: Jackplate gauge (Gamblerpilot)
Keith as you can see I moved several of my gauges, some required rewiring. If you do move them and have to rewire, make sure you disconnect the ground wire from the battery until the rewiring is complete. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif

Sandy were did the shifter handle come from? Looks good http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: Jackplate gauge (dartman)
Hi Vince. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif I checked around several auto parts stores and found a couple of shifters that had the button on the top and chose this one. I had to run a 9/16 drill bit through it to fit over the shaft, it now works great. It had a set screw to secure it to the shaft. I guess the shifter is like the basket balls, just something different that works. I get so many comments on the basket balls I now find it fun to come up with new reasons why I use them. But, regardless of what they say, my Gambler has balls. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Re: Jackplate gauge (dartman)
Leaving here on 4/28 - heading to PA for a couple of days with the grandkids and family. We don't miss grandparents day at the kids school. Also, I won't know until then if we can get down to the lake house on Champlain. The road there tends to flood almost every year, but it depends on the snow melt. Snow, what's that? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
