Re: line question (groundchecker)
GC, I use a variety of # tests, braid, mono, and flouro, just depending on what application it is.
jigs and frogs - 20 - 50# braid
crankbaits - 12# mono
soft plastics - 15 - 17# flouro
spinners - 15 - 17# mono
shakey - drop - 8-10# flouro or mono
and everything in between
Re: line question (dirtmonkey)
If the water is muddy and black like you are saying you will be fine with braid. If you get clearer water i would use flouro. I really dont even use mono anymore http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Re: line question (groundchecker)
floro or braid with your water conditions it should not matter
i fish a mud hole that that gen clear water in certain areas and i used braid in it and works fine

Use an A-rig they cant see that 10 gauge wire ...........http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
I am not a pro by any means. And I believe the Pro's job is to sell (BTW)
All the hoopla about string comes from the sales pitches that have been eaten up by those who are on a quest to improve their chances. Where are the facts ? I've seen no FACTS !
But fishing is about feeling confident. So with that said .... Don't let the fish see you on the other end of the string ! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
I use 50 lb braid and 12-15 lb mono is mostly muddy water all the time. Maybe one day I'll drink the koolaid .........
