Re: 2004 140 HP 4 Stroke (booz1355)
What are you running this motor on? I've sort of lost interest in the speed aspect of fishing so I was seriously considering going to the 140 4-stroke if my current 150ss would ever fail. Overall, how would you say the performance of this motor compares to a 150?
Re: 2004 140 HP 4 Stroke (drfish)
Suzuki's new DF150 will be right up there with your old motor. I think I'd go with the new DF150 instead of a DF140 if you're replacing a 150. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

You're absolutely right about the df150. I guess it took them so long to get it out I forgot all about it. That would be the replacement for my 2stroke.
Re: 2004 140 HP 4 Stroke (drfish)
I have a 1995 379 Javelin. This boat will run at WOT Approx. 62 mph. GPS ( full load and partner) 6200 RPM. As I said before the only down fall is the slow hole shot. I'm currently running a 25- 4 blade trophy prop. A whale tail helped some but still slow. As for a cold start up I do not have to do anything but turn the key, I don't prime the bulb or choke the engine. Very dependable motor so far..
