I would reccomend a 704CB. This would be a good rod for smaller crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwaters (poppers/propbaits).

704cb is a great rod for jerkbaits, poppers, and squarebills....don't be afraid of the Savvy line of rods to fill up some of your line up.

YES...flip stick and frogs in that stick. One of, if not the best for both in the Champ line. Buy without hesitation. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
But, the question is....do you want something for heavier flip/frog work or something in a true casting application.
704 would be a great choice if thats what direction you want to go.
