Re: lost my 200 Johnson (1javelin)
You can rent a harmonic balancer puller and pull the flywheel yourself and unless you have your face on the flywheel when it pops free I dont think you will be hurt. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Price depends on how bad it is, hole in the block, expensive, one piston damaged 3000-4000 bucks.

Any bets on #2 cylinder?? Compression test first thing. JMHO
Re: lost my 200 Johnson (Bassmeister)
honest truth is I didn't know it was modified until after I bought it, or I wouldn't have bought it. Had dreams of getting into the Strens and moving up, but only stock engines are allowed. Wouldn't have bought it if I would've known that. Probably why he didn't tell me until after. That's okay, it's done what I needed so far, and runs like a beast when it's going. Was thinking of just buying a stock 200 powerhead for it and having it installed. That would solve the blown cylinder problem and the stock engine problem, but for the cost, I would rather buy a whole new engine and get everything new. Thoughts?
