What are the fireworks laws in your State?

Here in Tennessee the first rule of fireworks is there are no rules. With the exception of a few municipalities, anything goes. It’s commonplace for neighborhoods to pool their money and put on a show that would rival the big city productions. If there’s one thing I can count on, 30 minutes after dark tonight, it’s going to look like Baghdad circa 1991!

Snakes and sparklers. Nothing fun that exploded or flies. Some counties have an all out ban.

We have laws but they are completely ignored unless someone complains. By the time the cops get here, it's all over.

For many years, it was perfectly legal for licensed distributors to sell fireworks in Ohio. But, it was illegal for anyone, other than an organized group with the proper permits, to set off fireworks in Ohio. When you bought your fireworks, you were required to sign a paper stating that you were taking them out of state to set off...with not a drop of enforcement

Varies by county. My county currently has sales and use banned and has for a few years. Land of the free...

Around here they are banned inside most city limits. In the county like where i live. Anything goes unless the county is under a burn ban

I thought Bullitt co lightened up as there are several fireworks shops just south of the Louisville line.

But yes police dont bother people at least from what ive seen. Hopefully my neighbors shoot up some as my group didnt get together this year. Always enjoy the show.

Want to see totally unregulated fireworks. Go to china during their new year stuff. Totally build your own and you can buy whatever powder you want. Cool and scary at the same time. LoL
Didn't help with work having me there on a totally unlimited expense account and every hourly employee liking me. Powder burns gained respect. LoL
Upper management thought I should be with them. Not fer this redneck. LoL

Anything that explodes or launches a projectile is not legal here....but no one seems to think following the law is required.....

    Same goes for gunfire.......

People do what they want...right now, I am having to deal with a party 5 houses down that has the music or whatever so loud, I am in my house with all windows & doors closed, and still having problems hearing my TV at a normal volume level..

Pretty much the same here. Our neighborhood doesn't have any rules and we have one heck of a fireworks show. They started last night and no doubt will unfortunately go through the weekend. We have several ATF agents in our neighborhood and I think they might get a lot of fireworks, maybe from illegal firework places. I have never see anything like our neighborhood, it's quite a show.

Our GSD is absolutely terrified and nothing seems to help. We bought her a thunder vest and we are giving her CBD dog treats and CBD oil, so far it doesn't seem to help at all. Kids were shooting fireworks last night and I have never seen a dog so scared, not sure what else to try. I like the fireworks but wish we could find something to help the dog.

I don't know bullit co laws, don't care. My neighbor usually does a $2k show. May not get one this year, don't see any signs of a party.

Over this side of WA, apparently only the Indians are allowed to sell fireworks, as near as I can tell. Most municipalities around Lk. WA have a professional fireworks show that is "free"...and beats hell out of spending $100 of my own cash. I did some of that stuff when I was a kid, but can't see the logic of essentially lighting $100 on fire. Helicopters were my favorite. My brothers were the pyromaniacs in the family, not me.

Nobody in my town is concerned about the police actually doing anything about somebody setting off fireworks. "That's a misdemeanor, which is a waste of our valuable time" (read: and below our pay grade). Yes, I'm PO'd at the local cops because they wouldn't do anything about a homeless azzwhole that broke into the HOA's pool and abused the bathroom facility....that was their response to the pool manager's call. What a crock. If they can't draw their gun or engage in a high speed pursuit, it's no fun for them, I guess.
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

No bottle rockets in TX, but due to the wet spring, I've got 4 gross from Oklahoma, along with chasers and artillery. May pull the AR out with the fun switch and tracer rounds for some late night blasts downrange.

Mostly a joke because the cops have never enforced them. The law as long as I can remember was nothing that flies or explodes, no fountains that shoot over 4’ tall. Meanwhile on just about every block in the state people are shooting off mortars, bottle rockets, Roman candles, etc. Police don’t care unless you catch something on fire or damage someone’s property.
