Motorcraft lubricants are made by Phillips 66 and they are just fine.
However, I'm a big fan of Shell Rotella and would choose it over others.
That particular engine calls for 10W30 diesel oil for best performance.

Been running motorcraft in my 6.7, so far so good. Ran Rotella in all my Cummins and they were good.

Rotella, mobil Delvac, Chevron Delo are all great oils. Use whichever one has a $5 per jug rebate. I've been using delo because my local walmart has it in rollback for around 11 bucks and then they have a rebate per gallon. With filter it makes my oil changes about 40 bucks.

Oil is made to a spec. Your manual should list the specs. Follow those specs. I would probably use Napa store brand which is or was valvoline. As they are a couple miles away and I like to throw them business, everything else is 45 minutes. Otherwise I would probably go with rotella. Although honestly any name brand oil that meet specs listed in your manual will work.

I personally like to use the motorcraft filters, and also like to use the delo 10w30 semi sythetic oil which it calls for. You can pick both of those items up from walmart which is your best bang for the buck. Or you could use the full synthetic 5w40 as well. I would stick to the 5k oil change intervals like they have been doing for years because of how much dirtier the engines now run with all of the emmisions equipment that is on the trucks. In the winter time especially because of the fuel that by passes the rings and gets into oil.

Rotella 5w40 syn and motorcraft filter in my 2010 6.4.

I also run the Archoil AR9100 friction modifier and AR6200 fuel treatment in every tank.
