    Caracal

I am a Triton owner, and have been looking around for what I wanna purchase for my next rig a few years down the road. I must say that Basscat has one of the most innovative and well thought out boat I have ever seen in Caracal. The storage is amazing, and the things that they took into account when designing the boat is just simply awesome. We are so used to seeing the same cookie cutter layouts in bassboats. I always wondered why more compartments werent added to certain layouts when the space was just being wasted. The little things such as the front day box, the rod locker being more centrally located to avoid having to move rods on the deck when accessing the storage... The lack of plastic!!! From someone that comes from a boat that is covered in plastic, this is such a big and great change. No plastic bow panel, or plastic on the console... The net storage and tool holder and the fact you can remove the bildge compartment door to better access this area. I know each company has it's advantages, but boy do I really like that Caracal.

For those that have this rig, how do you like it so far. Like my Triton, but this is such a well laid out boat. Well done Basscat.

I got my Caracal back in March. For me it's the perfect rig. I had a Cougar FTD prior to that. I loved that rig, so it was a big decision to trade. I'm am very happy I did.

That big beam must ride like a dream in that 19 foot class. Looks like a darn barge on the water. Want a big stable platform for when I get the three generations of guys in my family fishing. Little guy has a few years to go, but hey never to early to start considering your options. Three years from now, layouts and boats could be even better. Keep innovating Basscat.

I too wanted a boat with no plastic and this is one of the few. I ordered one on after seeing it firsthand just for the overall deck size front and rear which was better than a lot of 20's.

I absolutely LOVE the layout of mine. Fast, Wide, fun to drive.

I looked at every model (I was in a P2 at the time), and it was absolutely the best layout for me.

It' really nice NOT to have to move rods to get into the rod locker.

It is indeed an awesome boat. Does it all, fast, dry, wide, uses all the space for storage. Makes me feel like I need to go out and buy more equipment and tackle.

Wish you guys hadn't posted... damn new boat bug is trying to bite....
B.T.W., I love the long garage so you can leave the rig hooked up. That works great for tournament morning, just hop in and go!

That is one bad boat right there, I love that black! The boat just looks put together from every standpoint. I am a few years away, but boy it's nice to plan ahead. BY then my little guy will have plenty of room to fish and feel safe.

Wow they look sweet. Would love to see one in person. Do you guys use more than one bow compartment for rods or just the one? Is the storage length online correct (21 10)?
